There was a family and an old lady in front of me and a middle-aged man behind me when he walked in. Late 30s, I am guessing, dark hair and sunglasses on, inside.
Suddenly in a loud voice I hear singing "It's going to be a strange night tonight . . . !" I am not familiar with this song. Then, again in a loud voice, this time talking, "You know what's strange getting older."
I look to see if he's on his cell phone. quick glance. no.
Again in a loud voice, "I am not from Provo, you know. I know I am considered strange here in Provo."
Is this guy really just talking to the general post office line?
"I like girls," he continues, "I am not strange in that way."
The old lady in front of me chuckles. nervously? sympathetically? did she really think he was funny?
a long pause.
The loud voice, "it's not about black and white. It's never been about black and white. It's always been about getting older." Now he's a philosopher? He continues his monologue with some hip hop song I don't remember.
Finally, my turn at the counter.
He already confirmed that he was considered "strange" in Provo. So you non-provoites, would he be considered "strange" in your town too?

Ummm probably. But I talk to strangers all the time, but usually they are aware that I am talking to them and I don't ever break out in to random song. Interesting....
Crazy in any town...
probably feels crazy here on earth...
