Kristi's Guide to Provo: The Museum of Peoples and Cultures

My sister and her four kids have made it to Provo. We have been busy having fun. Here's one thing we did with my mom and her three kids, too.

BYU's Museum of Peoples and Cultures is located at 700 N. 100 E. and is open weekdays from 9 to 5. {for more information, visit their website, click here}

The museum is very small, so if you don't like museums or you have little children it's a the prefect dose for an afternoon of learning. Currently, the museum has two exhibits, both about Native Americans: one is on kachina dolls, the other on pottery. There are a few interactive things for kids.

You can visit the museum for free by yourself, receive a guided tour for $5, or experience the whole enchilada and take a themed tour, like we did! for $10. {prices are per group!} We chose to do the pottery themed tour. After touring the exhibits, we got to make our own pottery pieces.

And yes, they have balls!

This museum is strangely tucked into a corner at the apartment complex where I used to live.

Way to take advantage of every little thing where you live. I need someone like you here in the Miami.

Looks like lots of fun!!! I was wondering if you've had a chance to go to the BYU Paleontology Museum? We're thinking about going but weren't sure if it was any good or not. You're awesome!

Looks like a fun museum. It's always great when they have something fun to make at the end. Those are our favorite museums. (This is actually Angela, not Ken, I didn't realize I was signed in as him)
