My Favorite Library...

Last week I entered a give-a-way, in which you had to explain what your favorite library was and send a picture. Too bad the winner's weren't picked based on the story because I would have won - but the random fairy wasn't going in my favor today :(.

I thought I would share the story anyways, to update people who don't know why the Salt Lake City Library will always be my favorite!

It is where my husband proposed! I had never been to the library before that day, but that year (2006) it was voted Library of the Year. It is an amazing library, with gardens on top, fireplaces, waterfalls... we toured the library and then my husband took me to a little outcropping in the children's section call the attic. It is a little secluded room that looks like an attic. We happened to be all alone and there he proposed. We went back to the library a few months later to take our engagement pictures. My husband decided to propose to me in a library because he knew how much I loved books and libraries.

later we went over to Temple Square and got this picture taken

That's such a cute story! What a creative way to propose. I've actually never been to the SLC Library. It looks HUGE! And gorgeous. I'll have to take Hailey there one day. She's a big library fan!

Sorry you didn't win. Wow that's an amazing library. I'll have to visit it some time when we get around to visiting SLC again.
