On the 7th day (of Gordon’s life) Joseph took Davey to the store. When they came back they had bags of approved groceries and one other thing: The Coloring Table!
Joseph saw this kid’s art table was half off and grabbed it. I’ve wanted to get Davey something with a kid sized chair for awhile, since he always loves to sit in them at other people’s houses.
Since getting the Coloring Table, as we call it, Davey has really grown to love it. He loves to color all the time. He usually does a good job of only coloring on paper at the Coloring Table, but every once in awhile he colors somewhere bad, like the walls or his toys. Davey does very well at holding the crayons and is deep into the circle scribbling phase, which I was surprised to learn is a developmental phase kids go through. I love it when Davey shows me something he drew and says: “sun” or “soccer ball.” I love that he knows what his scribbles are.
