Alright, here's about part two of our Christmas trip. California was tons of fun! I also got to see some of my aunts and uncles too! Of course, Davey, got more Christmas presents.
Joseph and I also got a 72-hour/Emergency kit, which is what I asked for. That coupled with the nice backpacks my mom got us, finally has me feeling prepared for what might happened. For a few months now I've had an uneasy feeling about getting a 72-hour kit and other necessary things, finally its gone away! I finally have that "if you are prepared you will not fear" feeling for the first time!
Another gift I got was an afternoon with my sister. We got gift certificates to a nail spa and did pedicures, then we went out to lunch at Mimi's Cafe and finally hit up the thrift store to buy some used books. It was so fun!
Davey wasn't so... let's say... thrilled about his crazy Ray cousins. I think it was just a little too much for the only child. I am sure when he's older, he'll have tons of fun with them, but it was a little overwhelming sometimes for the little guy.
One day we went to the Long Beach Aquarium. It was so fun! Davey stayed awake for the first part. Slept for most of it and was awake at the end. While he was awake though he loved to look at any of the bright fishes. He especially loved the tropical fish exhibit.

This is my favorite picture: here he is staring at the tropical fish.

If this page doesn't make sense: that's my nephew, Jacob Ray. And we are related to him so he took a picture of us next to the relatives of Rays poster. We learned that sharks are relatives to the Rays. So later when we played a game, Joseph and my team were the sharks! Ha Ha. Also notice the no coats and short selves while we were outside. I loved the weather there! Yes we are wearing matching outfits. We all got St. Louis Cardnial's shirts for our birthdays. Davey finally fits into his, so we made it a Family Matching Day.

We received a very practical 72 hour kit for our family as well. See it is all about the practical! Love aquariums. I can imagine that Davey loved all those bright fishes.
Thanks, Kristi, for the shout out for the tote give-away. I appreciate it. Davey has really grown since the last time I checked your blog. That boy is adorable! Looks like you had a wonderful Christmas!
That looks like so much fun. Wow, this is kind of crazy coming to your blog and making a comment after my mother and sister-in-law! That's the fun of the blogging world...
