Dear Readers,
Today is Joseph and my first Blogiversary! One year ago today we posted our first blog.
Also, today starts a new round of the Hinckley Challenge. I read about the Hinckley Challenge on my friend Bethany Sweet's blog and got excited for a new round. The Hinckley Challenge is to read the Book of Mormon in 97 days, one day for each year of President Hinckley's life. I am sure that there is no better way President Hinckley would like us to celebrate his life than by engrossing ourselves in the teachings of the Book of Mormon. Additionally, the challenge ends the day before my due date. I am sure that there is no better way to prepare to being a good mom to Baby Chase than becoming engrossed in the Book of Mormon.
President Hinckley was the prophet all throughout my remembered childhood, those formative teenage years and most of college. The teachings he gave and the peace his spirit communicated to me have been a source of strength and faith through out my life. I am grateful to show in some small way my gratitude to him by following his teachings.
"Believe in the Book of Mormon as another witness of the Son of God. ... Let us read it. Let us dwell upon its truths. Let us learn its message and be blessed accordingly" - President Hinckley.
