Double Digits

I promised my sister, Rachael, I would post about this. Last year when I went on my sister's blog and saw she had hit 99 days left before Jordyn was born I called her. I was very excited for her - "You're in the double digits now, aren't you excited?!?!" She was less than enthusiastic and said "I'll be excited when I am in the single digits." I now have moved over to her camp of thinking. 99 days still seems far away and nothing to get too excited over.

However, I am going to use this time as a turning point in my pregnancy. I want to follow Elder Ballard's advice he gave mothers in the April Conference. His talk entitled
"Daughters of God" touched me profoundly. Quoting Anna Quindlen: "I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing. [...] I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less.”

All I have been thinking about the whole time I've been pregnant is when will the baby be here. I am trying to look forward to these last 100 days of enjoying and loving being pregnant and not just longing for Baby Chase.
