Our First Blog

Howdy Folks,

This is the first blog from the Joseph & Kristi Chase Family! Yeah!

We thought it was time to accept popular culture and to give people a fun, easy way to keep in touch with our lives. We suppose a quick history is in order.

In the great summer of 2006, Joseph traveled to a far off enchanted land called Fort Collins, CO, for he had found employment yonder. Joseph & the beautiful princess Kristi were both called to be family home evening leaders in the single's ward. It was then their magical courtship began. And as with all great fairytales, they both lived happily ever after!

Conveniently, both Kristi and Joseph Chase attend BYU (Go Cougars!). During Fall semester, Joseph proposed to Kristi. Joseph took Kristi to the SLC library using lies and deceit so she would not suspect anything. (Still, he had been acting very fishy that day.) Under the most romantic of circumstances he proposed! Kristi, between her sobs and tears, gladly accepted.

Here is a pretty fancy collage of some of our favorite engagement pictures.

After Fall semester at BYU (Go Cougars!), we returned to Colorado for Christmas, Kristi's tax internship, and the first four months of married life.

We did however make one quick stop in Salt Lake City around January 5th for a little event we like to call our wedding and eternal sealing.

Here we are cutting the cake at the wedding.

Kristi's internship was with a great accounting firm called Sample & Bailey and went very well despite the long tax season hours required of her.

We enjoyed our time being married in Fort Collins,CO. One of the greatest parts was living so close to both of our families. Kristi's family lived a quick 10 minutes away and were in the same ward. In fact Kristi had the pleasure of both her mother and her employer as her Sunday school teachers! Joseph's family lived a not so quick 2 and 1/2 hours away. However, it was still close enough to visit on the weekends.

Here we are visiting the Chase family at Easter.

Now we are back at the incredible Brigham Young University (Go Cougars!). We're keeping busy with our classes and all the different activities of our lives. We are trying to establish important permanent family traditions, pass our classes and keep the house nice and tidy without getting stressed out. We thought juggling tennis balls was hard.
Keep checking our blog for other important updates!
