The 24th of July. A holiday pretty much for Mormons or Utahians, and usually just for Utah Mormons. The 24th of July was the day the Mormon pioneers first entered the Salt Lake Valley.
It's a state holiday. Closed banks and everything.
Our ward had a children's parade and then pancake breakfast. (Anybody who knows me, knows I am a sucker for parades and pancakes, so you can't go wrong here.)
We got Davey all pumped up to "ride" his horse in the parade. Gordon rode in the baby wagon. They both had matching shirts, and hats, and American Flags.
All basis aside: they were two little cuties!
(I wore some red, white and blue star beads and a pioneer bonnet, so fashionable, I know.)
