Gordon's First Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Gordon!

Look at how cute this little boy is!

You can't believe how much we love him. We were so glad that he is our little baby. We really hope that he had a great birthday.

The theme for Gordon's first birthday was American Flag, since he was born on Flag Day.

The day started with the living room covered in Red, White and Blue balloons. Gordon (and Davey) loved playing with these. The picture is not the best, but if you look closely you can see a huge smile showing how much he loved playing with the balloons.

I made his favorite breakfast: Sweet Potato Pancakes! Yum! Look at the cute plate. Joseph's mom sent Gordon and Davey matching plates with Gordon's birthday present. Davey loved these plates and couldn't stop talking about eating breakfast on them the night before.

Davey helped me make Gordon's birthday cake. He loves helping in the kitchen.

The morning was pretty basic. Joseph took Gordon to the park to play. After lunch I had to go to work, but when I got back, Uncle Mark came over for the celebration. We had Gordon's favorite food: Rice!

Joseph and I decided to get Gordon a kid-sized wagon for his birthday. That's all he got though, but we decided it would be better to buy him one nice toy then a bunch of random things. Here is Gordon pulling his other present along in his new wagon.

Davey loves giving Gordon rides in the new wagon. Watch this movie it is so cute!

What was in that present (from Grandpa and Grandma Chase)? Mega Blocks!

Gordon also got a card from his Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Chase! With the money from the card we went to the store and picked out a fun toy. It has four little balls that go into four little holes and it comes with a hammer that is used to pound the balls through the hole.

After playing with toys for a while it was time for cake!

I tried to make a more kid friendly cake than I did for Davey's first birthday. (This was a banana cake with cream cheese frosting; Davey had chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.)

But Gordon only picked off the blueberries and strawberries. And just like Davey, Gordon opted for feeding his cake to Dad.

By this time Gordon was getting pretty tired.

We hope you had a happy birthday, Gordon!
