Things I'd want to remember later . . .

Davey!

  • Every time we get into the car Davey says "I want to listen to my favorite song!" Which means he was to listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing "Amazing Grace." It is so funny that he loves this song so much. But it does have some pretty cool bagpipe and drum action.

  • Davey is doing the library summer reading program. He loves putting up stickers on his chart once he's been read to for 20 minutes a day. He loves those really long Disney books that most parents hate reading out loud. Oh dear!

  • Davey loves to help me cook and bake things. He is a really good helper. One thing I thought that was really smart is once when we were making homemade granola bars after we creamed the butter and sugar together, Davey went to the fridge and said: OK now we need the eggs (which is always the next step after the butter when you make cookies or cake or whatever, but we didn't need eggs for the granola bars).

Gordon - IS OFFICIALLY A WALKER!

(a few days ago it was like Gordon made the conscious decision to never crawl again. It has been going really well for him. He still falls on his bottom a lot but he never cries and just gets right back up and walks some more)

  • These pictures were taken a little while ago. Gordon wants to go school with Dad. (Does it look familiar?)

  • This is Gordon's favorite song. When he is crying and mad we can put this song on and he'll just sit on my lap and suck his thumb, but the moment it is done he starts crying again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyVzjoj96vs.

  • Gordon is trying new food all the time and mostly loving them all! He had meat for the first time a few days ago. He had some chicken and loved it! Lately, Gordon has been eating A LOT probably about two or three times as much as Davey some days. We can't get this kid to stop eating!

  • Gordon can sign "all done" when he is finished eating all the food off his tray. He is so cute about it; he waves his hands all over the place. He'll wave good-bye whenever he hears the word (for instance: I'll be on the phone and even though it seems like he's not paying attention to anything I'm saying once I say good-bye he starts to wave at me). He can always clap his hands with us just saying: Gordon, clap your hands.

That's All For Now!
