"Every member of the church of Christ having children is to bring them unto the elders before the church, who are to lay their hands upon them in the name of Jesus Christ, and bless them in his name." Doctrine and Covenants 20:70
On Sunday Davey's dad gave him a name and a blessing at church, also my dad and Joseph's dad and an uncle were able to be there to stand in the blessing circle.
As I think about all the experiences, thoughts and feelings I've had since Davey was born, I struggle to find the words and sentences to describe my emotion. I wish to record them in my journal and blog a few lines about them; yet, every time I sit to do so, my mind is brought to the scripture of Mary after the birth of Jesus in Luke 2:19: "But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart."
And so I always leave it at that. I keep all these things in my heart and pray that Heavenly Father will not let me forget them.
