Yesterday at the Library I learned I hadn't ever changed my name on my library card, oops! After I pick out my new book, I go up to the circulation desk to remedy the problem.
Me: I need to change my name on my card. (I hand Librarian my card)
Librarian: (takes card and scans it in) OK, what would you like to change it to?
Me: Chase. C. H. A. S. E.
Librarian: OK, all fixed.
Me: Thanks! And I'd like to check out this book.
Librarian: Self-check out is over there. (points at self-check out machines)
Me: (blank stare on my face)
Are you kidding me?!?! She already had my card scanned into the computer. All she had to do was pick up her scanner thing and scan my ONE book. Is it so hard for the librarian to actually do her job and check a book out for me. Yikes!
