Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving dinner at the Wilsons' house. Joe Wilson is David's (Joseph's dad) best friend. They served together in the army and Joe introduced David to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and baptised him. They were such a wonderful family to meet; I think I loved them the moment they let me in their home.

It was such a special experience to meet the man that my husband was named after. Ever since I heard the story of my husband's name I have been anxious to meet Joe Wilson. I learned very easily to appreciate him and his influence over David and consequentially my husband and his family. There couldn't be a better man for my husband to be named after and emulate.
