This is the second time I've been to the Alamo. Both times I've been blown away at the feelings of reverence and sacredness I feel when I walk through the doors. I love that place!
This time I got to walk around the back of the Alamo. The grounds and garden are amazing. It is times like this that I wish my writing skills were stronger so I could more adequately explain how much I love the Alamo.
After visiting the Alamo we walked around the river walk. Alan took us out to lunch at one of the restaurants and we sat at a table right next to the river. I love doing special things like that. We also got to take a tour boat around the river. The river is so beautiful! Makes me think I could live in downtown San Antonio! There were so many places I wanted to stop and ask to get a picture of our family: here is one that we did.
