Updates

When we got home on Wednesday from the hospital, we had a small little party for Joseph's birthday. Joseph ran to Chili's and picked up some food to go.

Here is a picture of Joseph with all his presents.

Davey was quite the party animal.

Later that night, I started having some chest pains and I couldn't get in a full breath. My doctor said it could be a blood clot and I needed to go to the ER right away. So we went back to the hospital. Both my boys were such good troopers sitting around the ER while they ran tests on me. Good news, I didn't have a blood clot, the doctor said that my lungs were inflamed and said I should take Ibuprofen to ease the swelling. Bad news, I had to get a CAT scan as part of the tests and because of the radiation I wouldn't be able to nurse for the next 24 hours. Davey already wasn't doing great at nursing and I was nervous about how that would affect everything.

The next morning we went back to the hospital again to get Davey's jaundice checked out. Good news, it was going down and the doctor wasn't worried about it anymore.

On Thursday night, Davey had his first visitors.

Joseph has been AMAZING all week trying to take care of me, help out with Davey, be a great support and encouragement as Davey and I try to learn how to nurse and keep the house clean. I spend so much of my thoughts wondering why Heavenly Father would bless me with these two great sons of his. I am overwhelmed when I think that both Joseph and David will be my family forever. Seriously, I am so blessed!

This is our favorite outfit he's worn so far, we love the little chick by the pocket.

Awww! That little boy is so adorable Kristi! Seriously, he is just precious. Call me if you want to talk about nursing -- it can be really hard at first and it's not as 'natural' as you might think it would be. Love the pictures! Keep them comin'.

Kristi -- Davey is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm so glad to hear that the blood clot was a false alarm. PHEW! Recovery is tough enough without extra worries. I know that for me, I had to just take it one day at a time and look for something each day that was a bit more comfortable or even better than it had been:) Annnd, when I could find anything, I would jsut look at my baby:)
I'm so happy for you and Joseph! You definitely deserve every happiness. You're amazing! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
