On Wednesday we went to the Bean Museum for story time. I took Davey here a lot last winter, but this is the first time we've gone this winter. The Bean Museum actually has nothing to do with beans but every thing to do with animals, mostly dead animals. Essentially it is a taxidermy museum. It is very cool and we are so lucky to have it here at BYU. (go cougars)
I guess Davey forgot about this place because when we tried to walk in the door and Davey saw the 7 foot polar bear on its hind legs looking ready to attack us, Davey stopped in his tracks.
Davey: That one pretty scary, Mama.
Mama: Oh, no Davey, that one is pretty nice.
Davey (taking time to think about that): That one pretty nice?
Mama: Yes, pretty nice.
Davey: OK, Mama, that one pretty nice.
And he walks right in. All of his fears gone. How trusting of that little guy, because to be honest, the 7 foot polar bear did look pretty scary. Remind me never to lie to this little guy, because he does trust me so much.
We walked around a little bit, looking at all the animals. Here is a picture of Davey and Gordon looking at exhibit where you can feel the fur/skin of different animals.

Kristi,
I'm not big on leaving comments either but after reading your kind comments I couldn't resist.
Looks like you have a great family. It wasn't long ago that my kids were that age.
Best to you and your family,
John Curtis
