Gordon - Gordon B. Hinckley was the 15th President of our Church (LDS). We believe that he is a prophet of God. He passed away in 2008. We felt like this would an honorable and righteous man for our little boy to pattern his life after. We also thought that this name wasn't very popular but not too werid, a good middle ground. Joseph is very good at coming up with a name on the second day in the hospital that we haven't discussed before but end up choosing. It is starting to seem like tradition.
Larry - Joseph's maternal grandfather. We also felt like this would be a good man for Gordon to learn lessons from. Larry is a avid gardener and loves to try and figure out things by himself. He also is always fulfilling his church callings and assignments.
Here is Gordon on his way out of the hospital. He actually was very cranky in this picture. He just got circumcised and was very mad.
There is so much I don't want to forget and want to type up: like my labor and delivery, Gordon's gaging and choking problems, Davey's reactions and so forth, but these things will have to wait a week or so. I am trying to be very good about sleeping, especially right now because Joseph's mom is staying with us.
She has been such a great help. She took care of Davey while I was in the hospital and is doing so much around the house. It has been wonderful to have her here.
Everything this time around has been 100% better than with Davey. I was able (just barley) to have non medicated delivery, which I think has helped my recovery be less painful and for Gordon to be more awake and a better breast feeder.
Gordon has been almost prefect. I wake him to eat every 3 hours and then he usually falls right back asleep. I hope that things continue to go well with that.

How Cutie, little Gordon! He looks like his big brother! I think he looks like a chubbier Davey! Maybe not Davey as a newborn but they are definetly brothers!! Can't wait to hold him!
Congratulations you guys! How fun to have another little boy and a little brother for Davey! And you look so good in your previous post...you can't even tell you just had a baby! Enjoy every moment!
P.S. I was so close to having a perfect score on the guessing game. If only I had guessed a BOY!!!
Jacks has the most hilarious things to say about the new baby, when I was just showing them pictures he said..CHASE?!?!? LIKE KRISTI'S DAD?? (he of course means husband)and Jake thinks he looks like Davey too.
what fun pictures and a great name too. My dad's name is Gordon and I also have a brother named Gordon too, but completely different generations:) I am glad that you are recovering well and Gordon looks very handsome. (ila)
YAY Kristi! I'd love to hear more about the delivery when your feeling up to it! And yes, sleep is so good with a newborn! I am so glad the recovery is going so much better, and so is nursing! YAY!
